Food only makes part of an event, however, and Spice Catering’s commitment to excellence comes through in every facet of our business. You’ll find that devotion in event planning, design, custom table scapes, and our staff of chefs, bartenders, and servers. Born in Connecticut, owner Dan Biagioni along with his executive chef has a combined experience of 40 years in the catering, restaurant and food preparation industry. A graduate of Quinnipiac University, Dan has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and previously worked at Jordan Catering & Event Planning as Director of Sales.

Jonathan has been cooking professionally for over 25 years. Starting in New York City where he was raised, Jonathan worked for some of the best restaurateurs and caterers in Manhattan for over 15 years. Whether in a three star Italian restaurant, one of the city’s finest steakhouses or for one of New York’s premier caterers, Jonathan has constantly strived to produce the best food with only the finest ingredients.

Jonathan moved to Connecticut in 2007 and continued his cooking career with Jordan Caterers as its Executive Chef, where he produced events for 25 to 1000 people in venues ranging from a private home to the Wadsworth Atheneum to a farm in Litchfield Ct. In 2009 Jonathan left Jordan Caterers to open Cuvee Wine Bar and Lounge in West Hartford, bringing the Manhattan style of wine bar to Connecticut for the first time.

For the last 8 years, Carisa Lockery has owned and operated CR Socials Event Planning, where she planned and executed many weddings and events. From day-of service to full event planning, Carisa has helped many clients and couples create the event or wedding of their dreams. She knows that the details are truly what personalizes any type of event, along with delicious food! Although Spice Catering Group has had a strong business relationship with Carisa for many years, we are happy to officially have her on our team as our Marketing & Event Manager!

Carisa has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Albertus Magnus College and a Master of Business Administration Degree. In addition, she holds an event planning certification from the QC Event School.

Carisa currently resides in Cheshire, CT with her husband and 2 young sons.
